We went to the range and we each shot two magazines from both the 30SF and 30S and I felt the recoil with Winchester White Box range ammo was a little more noticeable in the 30S I was a bit surprised 3 oz. was really much if any difference. The G29 can be easily converted to shoot .40S&W with a barrel swap for better economy. Others have reported successfully using the 10mm-40S&W conversion barrel in the G30 as well.
